The situation
Supplier catalogues need to become a coherent commerce service. Product information, variants, navigation and updates all have to work together so the storefront can be operated consistently.
My contribution
I am a Director of Total Site Supply and personally built its Shopify storefront customisation and separate catalogue tooling. The work combines running the business with building the systems behind it.
The work
Adapted the Toolgard Shopify theme for the trade experience, navigation and branding. Built TypeScript and Playwright tooling to collect supplier products, normalise data, group variants and prepare Shopify updates, supported by a Prisma-backed catalogue and an operations portal.
The result
A live Shopify storefront at totalsite.supply and supporting catalogue tooling for supplier collection, product normalisation, variant grouping and repeatable updates. The work joins customer experience with the operation needed to maintain it.
