Pure Physiotherapy · health / mobile application
A patient app, built from the ground up
Building the original patient app, then returning to help shape its next stage.
Original app developer · Later REYT technology partner
Original app delivered · Later evolution scoped
Product & service design · Engineering & systems
An original app I personally built as a contractor, followed by a separate REYT engagement to explore its evolution.
- Personal mobile build
- Managed patient content
- Later product evolution
The situation
Pure Physiotherapy needed a mobile companion for its patient resources. Its symptom tracker was not optimised for mobile, and the organisation needed to update condition information without requiring a new app release.
My contribution
I personally built the original mobile application as a contractor. Later, I returned through REYT to explore the refresh and the relationship between the app and the wider digital service.
The approach
The original experience let patients find a condition by affected body part and access relevant information. Content management let the organisation maintain those resources. The later REYT work considered mobile improvements, website integration and R&D opportunities.
Separate the app from its changing content
Patients needed a usable route to relevant condition information. The organisation also needed to maintain that information without requiring a new app release. Content management was therefore part of the product architecture, as well as a consideration in the patient experience.
Where it landed
I delivered the original mobile application. The later REYT engagement explored a refresh and closer links with the wider digital service; those later ideas are presented as scoped work.
